Age of Order Ending overviewSpoilers

The Age of Order Ending is reached by completing the Goldmask and Brother Corhyn questline, collecting the Mending Rune of Perfect Order, and selecting that rune at the Fractured Marika after the final battle.

The questline begins when Brother Corhyn leaves Roundtable Hold after the player reaches Altus Plateau. His search for the mysterious Goldmask turns the ending route into an investigation of the Golden Order rather than a conventional combat objective. The player must locate both characters, follow their movement across the Lands Between, and provide the information needed to advance their research.

The most important progression step takes place in Leyndell, where the player obtains the Golden Order Principia and uses the Law of Regression incantation near a statue. This reveals a central truth about the Golden Order and allows the player to report the discovery to Goldmask. The incantation is the practical gate for the middle of the questline, so reaching the characters without preparing it can leave the route temporarily stalled.

After the Erdtree is burned and Leyndell becomes the Ashen Capital, Goldmask can be found dead near the Colosseum. His body provides the Mending Rune of Perfect Order, the key item required for this ending. The rune is not automatically selected at the conclusion; after defeating the final boss, the player must interact with Fractured Marika and choose the option to use the Mending Rune of Perfect Order.

This ending is optional and does not require the player to reject the Age of Fracture until the final interaction. 1. 01

   Begin Brother Corhyn's search for Goldmask

   Reach Altus Plateau and look for Brother Corhyn

   After reaching Altus Plateau, search the road north of the Altus Highway Junction area for Brother Corhyn. Speak with him until he explains that he is searching for Goldmask; this conversation moves the quest away from Roundtable Hold and establishes the next target.

   Location: Altus Plateau

   TipIf Corhyn is no longer at Roundtable Hold, check his Altus Plateau position rather than assuming the quest has failed.

   Watch outDo not stop after finding Corhyn; the quest does not advance until his dialogue about Goldmask has been exhausted.

   Identify Goldmask and reunite him with Brother Corhyn

   Find Goldmask on the broken bridge

   Travel to the broken section of the Altus Plateau bridge where Goldmask is standing. Speak with Goldmask, then return to Brother Corhyn and speak with him again so he can move to Goldmask's position.

   TipGoldmask does not answer normally, so the useful progression comes from speaking to Corhyn after locating him.

   Advance the Golden Order investigation

   Speak with the reunited investigators

   Return to the bridge and talk to Brother Corhyn and Goldmask after Corhyn has joined Goldmask. Continue their dialogue so they refer to the Golden Order's unresolved problem and the investigation can move to Leyndell.

   TipExhaust both characters' dialogue before leaving. A character's silence or unchanged position usually means an earlier conversation was not completed.

4. 04

   Acquire the prayerbook needed for Law of Regression

   Obtain the Golden Order Principia

   Enter Leyndell, Royal Capital and reach the upper interior area of Erdtree Sanctuary. Use the large branches and surrounding platforms to reach the prayerbook suspended above the main chamber, then collect the Golden Order Principia.

   Location: Leyndell, Royal Capital, Erdtree Sanctuary

   TipExplore above the sanctuary rather than searching only the floor around the Site of Grace; the prayerbook is positioned in the elevated structure.

   Watch outThe prayerbook is easy to overlook because it is reached from the sanctuary's upper branches and platforms rather than from the main path.

5. 05

   Prepare the required incantation

   Learn Law of Regression

   Give the Golden Order Principia to a character who can teach incantations and purchase Law of Regression. Check the spell's Intelligence requirement before attempting the next step, because merely possessing the prayerbook is not enough to perform the revelation.

   TipEquip Law of Regression in a memory slot and carry a Sacred Seal before returning to the statue.

6. 06

   Reveal the secret of the statue

   Cast Law of Regression at the statue

   From Erdtree Sanctuary, travel down toward the large statue in Leyndell and stand at the message that indicates regression reveals secrets. Face the statue and cast Law of Regression; the revelation changes the message and uncovers the truth required by Goldmask's investigation.

   Location: Leyndell, Royal Capital, west of Erdtree Sanctuary

   TipThe spell must be cast at the intended message and statue, not simply anywhere in Erdtree Sanctuary. If nothing happens, reposition over the message and face the statue before casting.

   Watch outThis is the quest's most commonly missed progression gate. Do not leave Leyndell assuming the characters will move until the regression revelation has occurred.

7. 07

   Give Goldmask the result of the regression investigation

   Report the revelation to Goldmask

   Return to the broken bridge in Altus Plateau and speak with Goldmask and Brother Corhyn about what Law of Regression revealed. Continue speaking with them until their dialogue is exhausted, then follow their later movement toward Leyndell.

   Location: Altus Plateau, broken bridge

   TipRest or reload the area if the pair has not moved after the dialogue, then check the next location connected to their Leyndell research.

   Complete the pre-Ashen Capital character encounters

   Find the pair near the Leyndell Colosseum

   After the investigation advances, locate Brother Corhyn and Goldmask on the high ground near the Colosseum in Leyndell. Speak with them again to continue their attempt to resolve the Golden Order's contradiction.

   Location: Leyndell, Royal Capital, near the Colosseum

   TipApproach the Colosseum area from the Leyndell paths and cliffs rather than searching the central streets; the pair is positioned away from the main avenue.

   Watch outThis encounter is tied to the state of Leyndell. If the capital has already changed, search the corresponding Ashen Capital location for the quest's final outcome instead.

   Reach Goldmask's final location

   Return after Leyndell becomes the Ashen Capital

   Progress the main story through the burning of the Erdtree and the transformation of Leyndell. Once the Ashen Capital is available, return to the Colosseum area where Goldmask's body can be found.

Law of Regression is the route's central mechanical requirement. The player must obtain the Golden Order Principia, learn the incantation, meet its Intelligence requirement, equip a Sacred Seal, and cast it at the intended statue in Leyndell. The spell is used as an environmental investigation tool rather than as a combat attack; its purpose is to reveal information that cannot be obtained by ordinary interaction.

The ending item and the ending selection are separate mechanics.
